Aric Wilde was born in Detroit and grew up in the deep snow of northern Michigan. By the tender age of 4 he began to construct repetitive melodies with words for family members, which didn't really surprise them as most of the family were involved in music in one way or another.
By age 6, Mr. Wilde was introduced to one of the first underground worlds of music genres "Ragtime" via his great grandmother who used to play Ragtime piano in silent movie theaters and danced to in what might be called an early version of 'raves' in illegal moonshine parties held in warehouses back in the early 1920s. Other wise known as "ragged time" music (a predecessor of jazz with heavy polygamy patterns usually written in 2/4 or 4/4 time with a predominant pattern of bass notes on odd-numbered beats and chords on even-numbered beats accompanying a syncopated melody) allowed him to understand the importance of rhythm in music.
Teaching himself piano, guitar and drums by the age of 16, it was apparent to him that music was destined to be apart of his life when he had to perform a piano recital of original pieces in order to pass his honors humanities class in high school .
Exposed to electronic music in the early 90's, a friend of his borrowed Arics Roland alpha juno 2 to create experimental industrial techno music with using only a VCR & drum machine along side of this... bringing Aric into the warehouse events held in Grad Rapids Michigan during that time period.
During the late 90's he fell heavily into the Chicago house scene to which this day still holds a place in his heart as the defining times in his life. So many great djs coming thru the scene that Aric took notice to the art of keeping the music going non stop and the technique used on the turntables and battle mixers to blend soundscapes in order to drive people into a frenzy.
The Choice to move close to the beach in Alabama just before the turn of the century proved to be a huge cultural shock to Aric, especially after finding a rave in 2000 and noticing how different the scene was compared to Chicago's. There was a lack of love that the chi town party scene had that helped create a family. This drove Aric to buy his first technic turntables in 2001 and founding Da Gathering, now know as .D.G. , throwing the only all age electronic events on the coast in venues such as skate rinks, ally ways, civic center, and warehouses. Bringing in headliners like Shiloh from Vancouver Canada to dj hall of fame member Jeffrey Zion, along with regional talent from all over the gulf coast and as far west as Arkansas and Oklahoma while providing one of the best light shows on the gulf coast.
For the past 8 years Mr. Wilde has dj'd at various locations from mobile Alabama to Destin Florida to as far north as Georgia...at house parties, clubs, martinis bars, coffee houses, skate rinks, back ally raves,to VIP private events, dive bars, bonfires, paint ball tournaments and The Hangout stages in gulf shores Alabama (the location of the new Hangout Music fest)
Other than djing, Aric Wilde has been producing his own tracks as well as starting a company called Artificial Intelligence performing laser artistry and video screen images for bands and djs alike along side artist such as Keoki, Monk, Shiloh, Pretty Lights, Jen Lasher, Quiver, Mr. Fahrenheit, Vibe Iree, zoogma, and countless others.
A musician and artist first and a dj second, Aric Wilde will truly bring a unique experience to any event.

Bio and purchase info below.

I am a born native to Pensacola, Florida. I have been doing various mediums of art for most of life like pottery, music, and abstract drawing, so I enjoy digging up art forms that are unique and unknown to many local art enthusiasts. I was inspired greatly by an artist out of New Orleans several years ago that did spray paint art of various kinds on the side walk. A few months ago I decided to give this medium of art a chance by going downtown and performing it live at Palafox Pier. Surprisingly, the many people who watched me perform were blown out of this world by this medium of art. I have continued perform such a unique art form; moreover, I am thankful to the many people who have purchased my art work recently. Thank you very much.
